A weekly letter on systematic trading — from the team at Ferrante Capital

Most backtests are marketing. Ours come with autopsies.

We build and test trading systems, trade them with our own capital, and write about what actually happens — every Monday, in about five minutes.

  • MOST STRATEGIES DIE IN TESTING
  • WE PUBLISH THE AUTOPSIES
  • EVERY MONDAY
  • FIVE-ISH MINUTES
  • ISSUE #001 IN THE WORKS
  • NO HOT PICKS

{01} The setup {02} The test {03} The verdict — every idea gets all three. Most don't survive.

{02} From the desk

Most trading-strategy marketing shows you an equity curve that goes up and to the right, and hopes you don't ask how it was made. We think the interesting part is exactly the part that gets hidden. So we publish the whole process — the ideas, the tests, the assumptions, and the strategies that die along the way. We trade our own capital using the same systems we write about. We will never sell you picks, and we will never dress a simulation up as a track record.

Coming — some systems that survive testing may become licensed strategy software. The honest version of that story
